In memory of Yerasimos Kolaitis

One year ago, we lost our beautiful baby boy Yerasimos in labour. From that moment on, our lives changed in ways we'd never expected. The 21st of June will always be a special, albeit difficult, date for us- it was the day our son was born and lost all in one. 
Yerasimos was such a happy baby, always full of energy. He has touched our lives in ways we cannot even begin to explain and the love and joy he has given us will always run deep in our veins along with our sadness.
We are so grateful to our family and friends for helping us get through this first year without our son by our side💙 You have helped in ways you cannot know.
And also to our Red Nose support network, who have been there through it all, and still are.

Red Nose has played such a pivotal role in helping us recover and deal with our trauma and loss. So today, on Yerasimos' birthday, we would like to raise funds for Red Nose in his honour. 
Something we learnt on this journey is that pregnancy and infant loss are actually more common that what you realise. So many people have been through similar things, and sadly, many people will continue to go through similar things. 
As Yerasimos' parents, we only want to honour and remember him always, to keep his memory strong. We want to advocate for others going through pregnancy or infant loss and help remove the stigma from these 'taboo' topics.

The beautiful boy, Yerasimos. I looked so forward to your birth and to meeting you. One day, I hope we will. Your parents are the best in the world.. you will always be remembered. Had you been 1 today, I would have helped celebrate your milestone with presents of baby books, Duplo and maybe a baby trolley walker but today we remember with sadness how you aren't with us. I will always advocate for spreading awareness for infant loss and walk this journey with your parents of acceptance of what has happened as opposed to forgiveness.
