In Lieu of Flowers
In Loving Memory of Michael (Mick) John Hay
11 April 1960 – 27 August 2026
In Lieu of Flowers
Michael (“Mick”), together with his loving wife Karen and their daughters, have asked that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Mick’s memory consider making a donation to SIDS Australia / Red Nose Day Australia.
In 1985, Mick and Karen experienced the heartbreaking loss of their second-born daughter, Casey Alyce Hay, to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
From that moment forward, the work of Red Nose Day — including research, advocacy, and awareness surrounding SIDS and the prevention of sudden and unexpected deaths in infancy — remained a cause deeply close to Mick’s heart.
A donation made in Mick’s memory is a meaningful way to honour his life, remember their daughter Casey, and support a cause that held profound significance for him and his family.
