On Christmas day 2024 we found out the most exciting news, that we were expecting our third child. We thought this baby would be the final puzzle piece to our dream family. After an uneventful pregnancy, Jude was born on 9/9/25 and it was love at first sight. Tragically and unexpectedly, he was only with us for a little over an hour.
Christmas is a special time of the year, a time meant to be spent with family and loved ones. Every year as a family we put on a Christmas light display. This year, we found ourselves in a situation where although our hearts were breaking for the loss of Jude, we still wanted to create magic for everyone around us. Despite the heavy grief, we gathered the courage and motivation to go ahead with our Gingerbread house themed Christmas lights and decided to dedicate the display to our little Jude. We hope he is looking down watching us move through this time with brave smiles. We know he would be both proud and happy to see the amount of joy and happiness it has brought to everyone in our community.
By honouring our little Judey boy through this year's Christmas lights, we are hoping to raise money for two charities - Bears of Hope and Red Nose - to help support families in similar situations to us.
