We welcomed our son Fletch Arnold Pannell into this world on July 5, 2023. He was stillborn at 39+1 weeks, with wavy hair and the cutest nose you've ever seen.
After Fletch's birth we were referred to Red Nose and their Hospital to Home program. Through this we were fortunate enough to have bereavement support sessions, and then ongoing professional counselling.
We understand just how important these services are. To ensure other bereaved families can access the same help, and so research can continue into saving little lives, more funding is needed.

We
can put a man on the moon but we haven’t worked out how to keep our precious
babies on Earth.
On July 5, to parents, Mike and Sarah, a beautiful baby boy called Fletch
Arnold Pannell was born, sleeping.
Hearts broke far and wide.
Mum, Sarah, in response to people wanting to know how they could help, sent a
message asking them to consider a donation to Red Nose, Sands or Heartfelt
Australia.
All are important causes, dedicated to saving little lives during pregnancy,
infancy and early childhood, and supporting anyone impacted by the death of a
baby or child.
When the devastating news was explained to one of Mike and Sarah’s
god-children, on understanding that more research needed to be done – she
desperately wanted to help raise money to aid that research. So, a little stall
was held and the support flooded in. As was the shared heartbreak of people who
have too, experienced the loss of a child.
To remember this beautiful baby boy Fletch, and to support his parents, many of
us have and will continue to contribute to fundraising, in Fletch’s name – to
help research and ultimately get closer to reducing the number of heartbreak
and loss experienced by too many.
